This IP65 LED non-maintained twin-spot luminaire features a lightweight polycarbonate body with twin-spots LED lamps. This LED emergency luminaire offers an energy saving and cost effective solution to fulfil emergency lighting requirements. Ideal for places requiring an emergency lighting supply like industrial units and warehouses.

What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained emergency lighting?
Maintained emergency lighting's purpose is to be lit continuously and will stay lit when there is a power failure or an emergency such as a fire. A maintained emergency light will allow the pathways or areas to be permanently illuminated and usually helps guide people to exit signs and safety. Sometimes these types of lighting solutions can double up as a normal light fitting.
Non-maintained emergency lighting has been designed to switch on in the instance of an emergency or power outage to help provide lighting to people who need to make their way to an exit or to follow an escape route. This kind of lighting solution provides a battery backup light source.

Why is Emergency Lighting so important?
It is essential that all occupied buildings should have escape lighting to allow for safe exit should mains power fail. Emergencies luminaires have fitted back up batteries which are continuously charged during standard operation and have at least 3 hours of power. Lights must be installed to provide sufficient illumination according to the different areas of premises and must conform to the latest legislation.

Non-maintained,These luminaires are only illuminated on a failure of the mains supply. Ideal for emergency exits, switchrooms and storage areas.
