DELIGHT OptoElectronics Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201403598C) ("Delight", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"). It applies to buyers, sellers (vendors), website visitors and anyone who contacts us.

1. Personal data we collect

• Buyers: name, job title, company, email, phone and WhatsApp number, billing and delivery addresses, order and quotation history, and payment confirmation details. Card details are processed by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
• Sellers: contact person's name, company details, email, phone, bank details for payment, and the product, stock and price information you share with us.
• Website visitors: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed and cookies (see section 7).
• Communications: messages, attachments (for example BOQs, drawings and photos) and call notes when you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or web forms.

2. How we use personal data

• To prepare quotations, process orders, arrange delivery, handle returns and warranty claims, and issue invoices.
• To answer technical questions and supply product documents.
• To onboard sellers, list their products, place purchase orders and make payments.
• To operate, secure and improve our website and in-house systems, including tools that use artificial intelligence to organise product data, track quotations and support our team's replies.
• To send service messages about your orders, and, where you have agreed, marketing messages. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
• To meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.

3. Disclosure

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with:

• vendors fulfilling your order: we share only what is needed (for example product and delivery details), and not your contact details unless required for delivery;
• couriers and logistics partners;
• payment processors, banks and our e-commerce platform provider (Shopify);
• IT, cloud, form (for example Zoho) and communication service providers;
• professional advisers, auditors, and government or regulatory authorities where required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

4. Use of AI tools

Some of our in-house systems use AI to help list products, match requests to products and draft replies. A member of our team reviews quotations and technical answers before they are sent. We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Transfers outside Singapore

Some service providers and vendors are located outside Singapore. When we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps to ensure it receives protection comparable to the PDPA, for example through contractual safeguards.

6. Protection and retention

We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and trusted service providers. We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example tax and accounting records), and then delete or anonymise it.

7. Cookies

Our website uses cookies for essential functions (such as the shopping cart and checkout), to remember preferences, and to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

8. Your rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal data, or withdraw consent for its use. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot continue to provide some services. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need longer.
