The 1999 winner of the Red Dot Design Award, The Melampo Mega Floor Lamp from Artemide is a true chameleon: it masquerades as a standard floor lamp with a regular shade, but the 22. 5" diameter shade can be pivoted above the bulb assembly, to change its look and the lighting effect. This floor lamp features a painted aluminum stem and zamac base for a stark, minimalist look that contrasts nicely with the flared silk satin shade and a plastic frame. Inline foot dimmer. The adjustable diffuser can be moved into three different positions and has a dimmer on the cord so one can choose exactly how the lamp illuminates the room.
