3M Scotchfil Putty (1 ½” x 60”)

3M™ Scotchfil™ Electrical Insulation Putty is a flexible, electrical-grade putty supplied in tape form for insulating, sealing, and building up irregular electrical connections. Its soft, moldable synthetic-rubber construction conforms easily to fittings, valves, connectors, cable splices, and other uneven surfaces, helping eliminate voids and sharp edges before overwrapping with electrical tape.

The putty is non-corrosive, moisture-sealing, and resistant to drying out, with excellent aging and electrical properties. It is suitable for insulating connections up to 600 V and for building up irregularities in certain low-voltage splices. The material has a typical thickness of 3.17 mm, approximately 1000% elongation, and a dielectric strength of about 22.6 kV/mm.
